Welcome to Communications Intern Abbie Dube from Bridgewater State University

We’re happy to introduce and warmly welcome Abbie Dube, our volunteer Communications Intern.

Abbie is a rising senior at Bridgewater State University studying Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a Minor in Dance. She has received several Academic Achievement Awards, worked as a Commuter Ambassador for Bridgewater State University, and worked with the Boys & Girls Club, Father Bill’s & MainSpring, and several other nonprofit organizations. Abbie will earn college credit for her work this summer.

Abbie said she views her time here at Latham as more than just an internship. “I view this as a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with an organization that shares the same values, dedication, and passion to help others as I do.” After participating in new-staff Orientation in June, Abbie began working on research, writing, and event planning projects with Director of Communications Dawn Dinnan. Abbie is a huge proponent of Latham’s commitment to internships. “People familiar with Latham Centers know that it is an organization that provides innovative education, support services, and opportunities for students and adult residents. However, they may not know that Latham also extends opportunities to college students looking to gain hands-on experience working with professionals at a world-renowned non-profit human services organization.” Abbie added that it is an honor to be part of the culture of collaboration at Latham.

We are thrilled to have Abbie with us this summer. She brings dedication, an incredible work ethic, and a heart of gold to Latham – as well as experience in blogging and social media planning.
