We love and appreciate our Latham School teachers!

We’re celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4th-8th) with this public shout-out to our incredible Special Education Team here at Latham.

Assistant Principal Meghan Foley shared this message of appreciation: “We all know that Latham is a special place. Our staff are extraordinary individuals and this is no different for our teachers. They are compassionate, motivated, outside the box thinkers. I could not ask for a better team. With the current climate of our world, they continue to come in day in and day out without hesitation. They were asked to start teaching virtually for some of our kiddos currently at home. This is something out of many people’s comfort zone, and they dove right in. When I meet individually to check in with the teachers, I always ask how they are doing. Each one of our teachers doesn’t skip a beat and they start talking about their students’ needs rather than their own. They’re truly an inspiring team to work with.”

We hope you’ll join us in showering our teachers in appreciation! In both words and emojis, we love (❤️) how they encourage and help our students, we like (👍) what is happening in their classrooms (virtual AND on campus), we celebrate (🎉) their achievements and moments of awe with students, and we care about (😍) their commitment to students and their families. We are so thankful for our teachers, aides, and every staff member helping our students succeed!

We’d also like to recognize all of our nation’s educators for their pivotal role in children’s lives. Thank you for making such a difference in the wellbeing and long-term success of our children! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
