Tip of the Week: In his words – Sean

Sean is an extraordinary young man who has been with us at Latham School since last December. He has an enormous heart, always knows when someone isn’t feeling well, and does whatever he can to make everyone around him smile. He’s an avid and fierce Harry Potter fan and friend to all animals big and small. Sean was too humble to give me a list of the best things about himself when I asked, “What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this year?” But what Sean shared made me smile (as it almost always does) —and I’m still smiling.

Patrice: What was the best thing that happened to you this year?

Sean: I don’t know. I think I grew up. Not all the way, though, but almost.

Patrice: What makes you think that you grew up?

Sean: I think about using my coping skills instead of just getting upset all the time.

Patrice: Yup, that’s definitely a sign of growing up.

Sean: I know, I just told you that.

I can’t wait to see what the next year brings for Sean!
