TIP of the WEEK: Thankful

Latham-CentersToday I am thankful. Thankful for the opportunity that I have been given to be a part of the most awe-inspiring community. The people that support and love children and adults with PWS give new meaning to the words tenacious and resilient. I have been witness to parents, researchers, doctors and direct care staff who have fought the seemingly impossible until progress was made and not once did they give up even when faced with certain defeat. I have learned from the best (people diagnosed with PWS) that it pays to keep trying and trying and trying until you finally make your way.
As we approach Thanksgiving week my only tip is to remind you to be thankful for the chance to be surrounded by the brilliance, strength, and pride that is found in the PWS community.
Happy Thanksgiving!
