Tip of the Week: Starting back to school
September 28, 2020
For many of our kids, school has started — either remotely, in person, or a hybrid model. Especially important for families of a child with Prader-Willi syndrome: be sure to address problems immediately as they come up so patterns do not start to form and children don’t feel defeated early in the process of our new educational norm. If something isn’t working, be sure to say so right away so that other options can be explored. Often times with children diagnosed with PWS, one bad experience can sour them for years to come. We want to be sure that they experience success and have a chance to show their strengths in the school setting.
