Tip of the Week: Making Choices

Individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome often have too few choices to make for themselves throughout the day. Be sure to work in choice and options wherever possible to allow for some control and self-direction in their lives. Make an inventory at the end of each day to determine how much of their day was by their own choice and try to add opportunity for decision-making into the next day. Choices allow for learning and an improved quality of life overall.
