Tip of the week: Low muscle tone

Low muscle tone impacts many different aspects of the life of the person with PWS. The obvious impact is difficulty maintaining movement for long periods of time without experiencing fatigue. Less obviously it can impact body functions such as swallowing, respirations and bowel elimination. Having a primary care physician and other medical professionals familiar with PWS is crucial for the health and wellbeing of your child in order to ensure well informed medical care for your child with PWS.
