TIP of the WEEK: Exercise

exercise

No one can dispute the many benefits of regular exercise. Maintaining a healthy weight, increased relaxation and mood, and improving your immune system are just a few reasons that regular exercise should be a part of the daily routine for your family. Motivation to exercise can be difficult for a person with PWS due to increased daytime fatigue and low muscle tone but once a routine is established it can easily be incorporated into your day.
Make exercise a priority and keep it interesting. Nature walks, scavenger hunts, or relay races can be masked as play and provide excellent exercise opportunities. Habits created when your child is very young will have lasting, positive effects.Screen Shot 2016-03-11 at 8.30.54 AM
