The Gasp challenge: Team Latham rides for our capital campaign

Some of our Latham staff members will ride in next week’s The Gasp 55-mile bike ride on behalf of Latham Centers. They have been training and fundraising for many weeks and we hope you’ll support their ride!

On Sunday, September 15, 2019, The Gasp: Bike, Boat ‘N Bake fundraising event incorporates a 55-mile bike ride, an hour-long Cape Cod Bay Cruise, and a Cape Cod lobster boil. It’s an all-day event filled with hard work and fun to benefit multiple Cape Cod charities. Team Latham is riding to support Latham Centers’ capital campaign for the Latham Community and Art Center. Gina Sheehan, Director of Adult Services, and Anne McManus, President, shared why they’re riding:

  • Gina (pictured rock climbing) participates in other fundraising events for Latham, and this is her first year riding in The Gasp. “I am riding because I want to support people who wake up every day working toward their goals – they never give up despite any challenge they face.” Support Gina HERE.

  • Anne (pictured with her bike helmet) has volunteered at this fundraising event for the past three years; this year, she’s joining the team! “I was so inspired by our team of Latham riders that I decided that this would be my year to take on the challenge. If I can do it, anyone can!” Support Anne HERE.

Gifts of ANY size are appreciated – here is the link to our team page where you’ll see links to all team members’ fundraising pages. Please share this opportunity to support Team Latham with others who may not be familiar with the life-changing work we do here at Latham.
