Students appreciate Children’s Program staff members with inspiring “shout-outs”

Behavior Specialist Krystal Ketler knows how meaningful staff appreciation is at Latham, so she began asking students to name staff members they admire and why. Each week, she posts those names and comments on a residential whiteboard and shares the shout-outs with other staff members through Latham e-mail. Krystal said, “I want everyone to see what our lovely students say about our exceptional staff who work so hard.” Krystal told her colleagues, “Know that you all have made an impact on these kids’ lives, and I hope these shout-outs remind you of how wonderful you all are!” In sharing a few of our students’ words of appreciation with the greater Latham community, we are reminded of the many life lessons our students teach us every day.
