Student Spotlight: New student Luke shares some Latham “favorites”

We recently welcomed a new student, Luke, to our Latham campus. In today’s Student Spotlight, we’re happily sharing Luke’s thoughts about residential life and school at Latham:

What is your favorite thing about Latham so far?

Going to the park.

What fun activities at Latham do you enjoy so far?

I get to go to the spa.

That’s so fun! What else do you do on campus?

I like coloring.

What advice would you give someone who was thinking of coming to Latham?

Try to do a great job and staff will tell you ‘well done.’

What advice would you give to family members who were thinking about sending their student/child to Latham?

Latham is a good school. You get to visit and see family too.

What’s your favorite thing about school?

The library. I like to go on the computer and play games.

What’s your favorite thing about res?

There’s an elevator. I also really like snack.

What’s your favorite snack?

The chips and bean dip.

Sounds like everyone likes the food here.

I like pizza day. I like buffalo chicken pizza.

What are some goals you have here?

Coloring more and using my coping skills.

Tell me about the coping skills you use.

I have a Woody Doll but you already know that because he is the right size.

You’re right, I do know that! What else at Latham has helped you be successful so far?

I like playing kickball and basketball. I like everybody.

I am a really good singer. And dancer. I dance on the stage outside.
