Student Spotlight: Latham welcomes new student to campus

We’d like to extend a warm welcome to one of our new students at Latham. For today’s Student Spotlight, Admissions Officer Kara McDowell interviewed Mikey, and his wonderful feedback follows:

What is your favorite thing about Latham so far? 

Meeting new friends and getting to hang with them after school. I have a lot of friends.

What fun activities at Latham do you enjoy so far?

We play sports and we get to go outside. We get to have friends, too.

What advice would you give someone who was thinking of coming to Latham?

It is a huge difference here because you get to take care of yourself. You also get to have friends, which is really good.

What advice would you give to family members who were thinking about sending their student/child to Latham?

They’ll be fine – I am fine and I like it here!

What at Latham has helped you be succesful so far?

My staff.

What do you like about the staff here?

They’re nice and they help me and my friends.

Your teacher told me you are reading Harry Potter independently; how’s that going?

Great! I like school.

How is the food?

It’s good!

What is your favorite meal so far?

Prime Rib night, definitely. And today we get to have pizza!

What are some goals you have here?

I want to make new friends and still be respectful.

What’s a fun fact about yourself you want people to know?

I like to cuddle with my dog when at home and play video games.
