State Rep. Tim Whelan and Latham are November’s ADDP calendar spotlight

Latham Centers is honored to be featured this month with our own State Representative Timothy Whelan in the 2019 ADDP calendar.

In August of 2018, we published a blog announcing that Latham would be in the upcoming Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers calendar. The annual publication showcases ADDP’s members who provide services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Representative Timothy Whelan joined us for the November spotlight, along with Latham resident Drew, who works during the spring and summer in the pet department at Agway of Cape Cod. The feature photos* were taken at Agway of Cape Cod’s South Dennis store, and include Latham’s Adult Services team member Sam MacDonald; Agway team members Lizzie Jenks and Hillary Edester; and Representative Whelan, who is quoted in the feature story: “Latham Centers’ Vocational Services Program is an essential part of the work they do to provide adults like Drew with opportunities to grow and be an important part of our community. Our office will continue to be a friend to Latham Centers in doing all we can to provide support when it’s needed.” – Rep. Timothy Whelan

We’re grateful to ADDP for highlighting Latham’s vocational services – and especially grateful to Drew, Sam, Lizzie, Hillary, and Rep. Whelan for helping us share this story of dedication and collaboration!
