Staff Spotlight: Susan Christopher honored by DDS Citizen Advisory Board

Longtime dedicated Latham Centers staff member Susan Christopher was honored by the Cape Cod and Islands DDS Citizen Advisory Board at their annual Recognition Breakfast on Friday, April 12th at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville.

Sue has worked at several residences in Latham Centers’ Adult Services Program and has made a real difference in the lives of so many of our individuals in her tenure at Latham. Sue incorporates her gifts of patience and humor into her work, and she is truly a mentor to newer staff. The Recognition Breakfast program included the following highlights of Sue’s work:

“Sue Christopher has worked at Latham for almost 30 years and has been with many of the residents at Great Hill for much of their time. She pushes the residents to be as independent as possible, while still providing a supportive and nurturing environment in which they thrive. They have an outstanding rapport with Sue and are always excited to see her when she arrives. Sue volunteers to do some of the special activities with the ladies that help enrich their lives. Sue annually takes one of the ladies to the Festival of Lights at La Salette where a resident’s mother is buried, followed by some holiday shopping to round out the visit. This is an event that our resident looks forward to for months in advance. Sue is also a tremendous resource for the Great Hill staff, providing guidance and historical experience for them to draw on.”

Congratulations, Sue, on this well-deserved recognition!
