Staff Spotlight: Beverly Hopkins receives William McClennan Award

Latham Centers’ Payroll Manager Beverly Hopkins was honored with the William McClennan Award for Exceptional Service at our Year End Celebration. The McClennan Award recognizes outstanding contributions by support and administrative staff who assist the direct care staff in our Children’s and Adult Services Programs. Beverly’s performance and achievements reflect leadership and commitment to her department’s high principles, as well as Latham’s mission.
Beverly has been a valued Business Office team member at Latham for more than a decade, and she not only manages our 260-plus employee payroll, she also supervises some of the Latham students and adult residents who work in our Orleans administrative office – always with patience, caring, and kindness. One of multiple colleagues who nominated Beverly for the award wrote, “Beverly is the ultimate business professional. She provides excellent customer service to everyone who reaches out for help – always responsive and willing to assist. She is so dedicated to her job, even bringing extra work home or coming in to resolve issues on her day off.”
In presenting the award to Beverly, CFO Maggie French said, “Beverly joined Latham in 2006 as the Financial Assistant to the CFO. She moved to Accounts Receivable, then to her present role in Payroll where she ensures that we each receive the correct compensation for the services we each perform here at Latham. Beverly comes to her work and profession with respect, diligence in performance, and always with a smile and willingness to go the extra mile for each employee.”
