PWS Tip of the Week: Loving what you do

Our Program and Vocational teams work hard to ensure that our students and residents find jobs that reflect their passions and interests. Adult resident Brian’s experience is the perfect example of “Loving what you do” success.  He always wanted to work at an airport, and Brian’s passion for all-things-aviation continued after he transitioned from Latham School into our Adult Services Program. This recent image – Brian working at his job at Plymouth Airport – perfectly depicts “living a dream.”

For each of us who loves/supports someone with Prader-Willi syndrome, the pandemic has made it incredibly hard to help support job-related aspirations. Brian – and our Latham staff – give us all hope!

Patrice Carroll, LICSW, is world-renowned for her Prader-Willi syndrome expertise.
