PWS International Caregivers Conference News
May 23, 2012
Pam Nolan and Patrice Carroll attended the Third Annual PWS International Caregivers Conference in Bavaria, Germany. Patrice led a work group with Dr. Jan Forster and Dr. Hubert Soyer on sensory integration, with a focus on establishing best practices for incorporating sensory work into PWS programming. Pam presented the findings of this group to all conference participants. It was an honor to be a part of such important work.
The theme of the conference was to establish best practices for training staff who are working with children and adults diagnosed with PWS. It was a lot of hard work but a beautiful setting and the chance to work with over 100 caregivers from 18 different countries made it well worth it!
