Please join us for our Student Art Show Reception

We hope you’ll join us for our Student Art Show Reception at the Brewster Ladies’ Library from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, February 16th). Art is an essential part of the students’ education at Latham Centers. As Ron Edwards explains, “In clinical work, some of our students use art therapy to achieve objectives. Many of our students choose to make art as a coping skill to keep themselves centered and in the moment.” Latham Centers also integrates art lessons into after-school clubs, residential activities, and vocational class.

Art helps our students to:

• build fine motor and problem-solving skills,

• enhance communication and expression, and

• promote self-esteem and motivation to succeed.

Some of our students and staff will be at the Art Show Reception tomorrow — please come by and show your support!
