New outdoor Connect Four game brings excitement to Latham campus

The students at Latham School were surprised and excited to see the new life-sized Connect Four game that was recently set up on campus. The game was generously donated by the family of Latham student Sean Healy. This past June, Sean’s sister Leah organized and executed the Run for PWS, a 5K road race held on Bay Shore, Long Island, the Healys’ home town. The race attracted over 300 runners and raised over $17,000 for Latham Centers. In addition to funds raised, the race also raised awareness about PWS and the impact that it has on individuals challenged by the syndrome and their families.

Brian Benevides, Latham’s Director of Facilities, asked Sean and another Latham student, Marcus, if they’d like to help him set up the game on campus so that it can be enjoyed by all of the students at Latham. The giant Connect Four has been a popular addition to our campus and we are very grateful to the Healys for their thoughtful gift. We are counting all of our Latham friends and families among our many blessings this Thanksgiving.
