Message of thanks to Latham’s Direct Support Professionals

In Massachusetts, we are celebrating Direct Support Professionals this week! Latham Centers would like to thank every member of our direct care staff for your exceptional work supporting children and adults with disabilities.

The Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers (ADDP) recently announced that the second week of this month (September 9th through 15th) is being proclaimed by Governor Baker and Senators Warren and Markey as DSP recognition week. It’s a great opportunity for all of us in the human services field to let our direct support professionals know that we recognize the importance a direct support professional can have in the life of a person with a disability.

To our staff, and especially our direct support professionals, we salute the wonderful work you do. It is because of you that those we serve are valued, respected, and enabled to live and thrive in their communities.
