Latham students show appreciation to Masonic Angel Foundation

Students from Latham School welcomed Masonic Angel Foundation co-founder Robert Fellows to campus yesterday to thank him for his organization’s support. Jake and Mikey presented him with a poster signed by students and staff with the message, “Masonic Angel Foundation… We appreciate you!!”

The students donated $200.00 to the Masonic Angel Fund, which represents half the proceeds from their holiday craft fair sales of hand-decorated ornaments, greeting cards, wreaths, painted penguins, handmade soaps, and other creative treasures. Students chose the Masonic Angel Fund as their charity of choice this year because of the many things the MAF has done for so many students. The Masonic Angel Fund program was established in 1998 at Universal Masonic Lodge in Orleans, and it has grown to a national program with some 165 chapters established in 14 different states. Devoted volunteers deliver food packages, school supply kits, refurbished laptops, and other necessities for children and others in need throughout Cape Cod.

Assistant Principal Meghan Pouliot said Jake and Mikey enjoyed the opportunity to present the gift to the MAF on behalf of everyone at Latham. “Our Latham students are always looking for ways to give back to the community. They work hard to find ways to help others and their continuous generosity never ceases to amaze me.”
