Latham School recertified to accept international students

Latham is proud to announce that we have been recertified as an SEVP-approved school. SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program) is the program that gives the U.S government oversight of all students entering the U.S. for educational purposes, including elementary through graduate school. In short, we are approved to accept international students into our Children’s Program.

Susan LaPlant, a valued employee since 1994, led the recertification process. The process to be approved through the Department of Homeland Security is long and rigorous, and we thank Susan for her hard work and dedication to the international PWS community!

Worldwide outreach and collaboration is a long-time commitment of Latham’s. Last month, we were thrilled to participate in the 2022 International Prader-Willi Syndrome Organisation (IPWSO) Conference in Ireland. “Being able to expand and share our knowledge among international professionals, caregivers, and parents was an incredible experience,” noted Monique Williams, Latham Centers’ Director of Health and Wellness. (More conference highlights will follow in upcoming blogs).

We invite our international families, friends, and professionals working with children with PWS to contact us for more information about our therapeutic residential program at admissions@lathamcenters.org.
