Latham Participates in Bowling Competition to Support Residents at Latham Centers

Mix Team Shot

Latham Centers is participating in a Fundraising Bowling Competition entitled Rally the Alleys on Friday, April 28th! We participated in a similar tournament last year, and truly enjoyed the experience! This year we will have one bowling team comprised of staff, friends and Board Members, and are reaching out to our friends to help support this important initiative. Whether a personal gift, or spreading the world to those in your network, every dollar counts. We are eternally grateful. Our goal is $2,000! Online donations are quick and easy! Clink on the website link HERE  and select Donate Now in the upper right-hand corner! If you would like to tell your friends a bit about the work we do at Latham Centers, Board Member Chris Gillstrom has composed the below for reference:
Rally the Alleys is a fundraiser which benefits local Cape Cod charities. Thank you for those that have already supported me in my efforts to raise money for Latham Centers. But, for those that haven’t had the opportunity yet or would like to do so again this year, I ask that you, individually or on behalf of your business, please consider supporting our bowlers, Team Latham!
Latham Centers, a leader in the treatment of children and adults with intellectual disabilities and complex special needs, including Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), is the only specialized resource for PWS on the East Coast. Latham also provides care to children and adults with multiple diagnoses which can include Autism Spectrum and Attachment Disorders. Some of these individuals have histories of abuse or neglect, resulting in severe emotional and behavioral problems. Several have histories of failed placements in foster care or in mainstream facilities not equipped to handle or treat all of their complex special needs.
At its core, Latham Centers’ mission is to compassionately and creatively treat, nurture and teach with the goal of helping each to become more independent, well-adjusted and capable of living abundant adult lives. Latham has embarked upon a $2.1M capital campaign to create a vibrant, new Latham Community Center. It will offer our students and adults a dedicated space for fitness, vocational training, woodworking, technology education, visual and performing arts. It will serve as a hub for the entire special needs community on Cape Cod, and it will be available to the residents of Brewster and neighboring towns for meetings, exercise, technology use and cultural events.
All money raised on behalf of Latham Centers through Rally the Alleys will directly apply to our Capital Campaign to bring us one step closer to realizing our goal. Latham’s work is extremely important in literally changing and saving lives, and we ask for your involvement in our endeavors.
Thank you, in advance, for your support! Please wish us luck!
