Latham Centers to present at PWSA (USA) PWCF Conferences
October 14, 2019
Latham staff welcome you to come to our table at both conferences to learn more about our program!
Latham Centers is proud to announce it’s involvement in two upcoming Prader-Willi Syndrome conferences. Both the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (USA) (PWSA (USA)) and Prader-Willi California Foundation (PWCF) host conferences in which they discuss the most important topics in the PWS community. During both conferences Latham centers will have a table, so look for the blue table cloth and stop by to ask any questions you may have about our program!
PWSA (USA) will host its national convention, Unmask the Possibilities, in Orlando, FL from October 23 through October 26. Wednesday, October 23rd includes a Medical and Scientific Conference; Thursday, October 24th will conclude the Medical and Scientific Conference and begin the Professional Providers Conference; Friday, October 25th through Saturday, October 26th will finish the convention with the General Conference. Each day will include copious amounts of information for professionals in different fields, and parents/guardians with similar experiences and needs. Latham Centers’ Lee Chamberlain, Chief of Operations, Patrice Carroll, Director of PWS Services, Katrina Fryklund, Director of National Outreach, and Brittni Kliment, Director of Program Marketing and Admissions, will participate by way of leading conference sessions, hosting round table discussions, and serving on panels. Specifically, Patrice, as Professional Providers Day Co-Chair, will welcome all attendees and wrap up the conference; she will also lead a session on internet safety and host round table discussions. Elizabeth Roof, MA, will be the keynote speaker.
PWCF is an incredible asset in the PWS State Association community. They offer a conference every year attended by people across the west coast; this year the conference will be on Saturday, November 2nd in Los Angeles, CA. In this conference, Latham Centers will host a session on coping with behaviors associated with a PWS diagnosis as well as lead an hour long networking session for Q and A for all attendees.
We look forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions about Latham Centers involvement in these conferences please contact admissions@lathamcenters.org.
