Latham celebrates successful Last Gasp at Cape Cod Charitable FunRaisers’ Night of Gratitude
November 29, 2017
Cape Cod Charitable FunRaisers’ (CCCF) Night of Gratitude dinner was held earlier this month at the Riverway restaurant in Yarmouth. This annual event honors top Last Gasp bike ride fundraisers. For 26 years, participants have biked the 62 miles from Sandwich to Provincetown to raise funds for the beneficiary charity of their choice. This was Latham Centers’ second year participating as a beneficiary charity. Board member Christine Gillstrom Burgess was the number one female fundraiser for the September event, raising over $4,000. Her husband, Mark Burgess, has participated in the race for 25 years and he also raised over $4,000. Mariel Chance, Case Manager at Latham Centers, was the first woman to cross the finish line and raised over $900.
At the Night of Gratitude celebration dinner, a check for $17,700 was presented to Mark Burgess; Anne McManus, Latham President and CEO; and Heather Kelsey, Latham Director of Development. Thank you to all the Latham riders, donors and sponsors for making this year’s Last Gasp such a success.
