Latham celebrates with community of givers at Philanthropy Day

It was an honor to be part of the 22nd annual Philanthropy Day on Cape Cod, celebrating the impact of philanthropy on Cape Cod and the Islands. Yesterday’s full-day conference, “Cultivating a Culture of Philanthropy,” was held at the Resort & Conference Center in Hyannis, where 550 participants connected during plenary sessions, breakout sessions, exhibits, a luncheon, and a moving presentation of the 2018 Philanthropy Awards.

Latham’s Director of Development Heather Kelsey served as moderator of a panel session featuring non-profit leaders Ian Ives, Sanctuary Director of Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, Massachusetts Audubon; and Mark Pearson, Artistic Director & Producer, College Light Opera Company. Heather, Ian, and Mark presented elements of successful fundraising, sharing ways their organizations have developed major donor programs and developed valued long-term relationships and collaborations. Their audience included new and seasoned non-profit leaders, staff members, board members, and volunteers.

Thank you to the Philanthropy Day Committee, event sponsors, and session leaders for another inspirational day of celebrating, learning, and networking! We’re looking forward to next year’s Philanthropy Day on November 13, 2019.
