Knitting for a Cause: Adult Resident Donates Wares

Angel is an adult resident at Latham Centers who has thrived in our Vocational Program. Not only has Angel been working in the community getting paid a competitive wage, but she has been volunteering at Mayflower Place, teaching a group of knitters skills that she has picked up over the years.  

Angel’s help and inspiration have resulted in an afghan, ready to be presented to the Emerald Hollow Therapeutic Riding Center. Every donated item is helpful to the Riding Center’s fundraising efforts. Angel and the knitters will present the completed afghan to the Emerald Hollow Therapeutic Riding Center’s staff and volunteers on Wednesday, March 8th.
