Kathy Van Esselstyn is our new Staff Development Coordinator

After spending more than twenty years in direct support of children and adults at Latham, Kathy Van Esselstyn has joined the Organizational Development team as Staff Development Coordinator.  Kathy began her Latham career as a direct care professional in Children’s Services. She later transitioned into the Adult Services Program, serving as a counselor, residential manager, and most recently, assistant director. 

The role of staff development coordinator is a mixture of training, coaching, and program development.  Director of Leadership and Growth Tim Vaughan will be working with Kathy to enhance training delivery, increase staff support, and provide additional opportunities for staff members who desire advancement.  Tim said Kathy’s experience and natural skill as a teacher, trainer, and administrator will be a tremendous benefit in her new position.
