Join Team Latham for the 2021 Virtual Gasp!

Call for Riders! Once again, Latham Centers will participate in The Gasp, a charity bike ride hosted by the Barnstable Charitable Foundation. The ride will take place virtually from Sunday, September 5th through Friday, September 10th, with each rider completing at least 55 miles over the five days.

Latham is planning a 20-30 mile team ride on the bike path followed by a barbecue at our Brewster Fire Museum property for all Team Latham riders (date TBD). This event was a lot of fun for riders of all ages and levels last year. While we hope the ride will return to its in-person Sandwich-to-Provincetown ‘bike-boat-bake’ (bicycle ride/boat ride/clambake) format next year, we’re very excited to include participants from across the country on our team in this second Virtual Gasp! This is a perfect year for seniors and/or children ten and up to join Team Latham. Riders from any location are welcome to join our team – the ride can take place anywhere – including your home or spin class! All riders will get an official “The Gasp” t-shirt, and prizes will be awarded for the beneficiary charity whose team raises the most money.

All funds raised for Latham through The Gasp will support the Expanding Our Circle Campaign for the new Latham Community and Arts Center. Thanks in advance for your support!

The registration fee has been reduced to $25, and the minimum fundraising commitment is only $250 again this year. If you register to ride, be sure when you create your fundraiser page that you choose Latham Centers as your beneficiary charity HERE.  Also, when you register as a rider (“Gasper For A Cause”), select yourself as the fundraiser HERE.
