Great Hill group residence hosts Adult Services Halloween Party

A haunted tractor ride and costume contest were the highlights of the Adult Program’s Halloween celebration at Latham’s Great Hill home in Sandwich. Residential Manager Kayla Cox said our residents had a fantastic night. Nearly 40 individuals from nine of our Latham adult group residences – as well as our shared and independent living folks – attended the Halloween party.

The costumes were amazing, Kayla said. Matt O won funniest costume (as Richard Simmons), Max won best costume (as Donald Trump), Skylar won scariest (as Pennywise) and Leona won most original (as Harley Quinn). The creative

costumes included Ren and Stimpy, a Zombie football player, Samantha from Bewitched, a Cat in the Hat, and many spooky, scary, and silly costumes. “Almost everyone dressed up,” Kayla noted. “They put a lot of work into their costumes – it means so much to see how proud they all were of the work they put into that part of the night. And they were so grateful to the staff.” Kayla praised Latham’s donkey caregivers Kris and Bob Thompson for assisting with setup and decorations around the property and making the haunted tractor ride such a huge success. (Even the miniature donkeys who live at Great Hill enjoyed the extra attention!) Many Latham staff members went above and beyond to make Halloween night a memorable occasion for so many of our adult residents.
