For our PWS Community: October Virtual Social Hours Announced
October 15, 2020
To our Prader-Willi syndrome community, we invite you to mark your calendars for Latham’s upcoming Social Hours – one for students and one for adults – which will include fun dancing, sing-a-longs, and Halloween-costume sharing for those who’d like to participate.
Director of National Outreach Katrina Fryklund noted, “In our recent Social Hour Talent Shows, we were hugely impressed by the vocal talents of the kids and the adults. Moreover, it was tremendous to see the kids supporting one another and dancing to the beat of the music.” Katrina and Patrice shared this tip: “During Latham Centers’ weekly online Storytimes, we end with a ‘Music Mindfulness.’ Music Mindfulness videos on YouTube for people of all ages range from “freeze dances” to popular hits and dance-a-longs through Kidzbop; it is a great resource!”
