Expanding Our Circle (Part 2): Exciting new gifts announced
January 30, 2018
Latham Centers shared some exciting donation news at last week’s press conference. An anonymous $250,000 challenge-match donation to the Capital Campaign for the new Latham Community Center was announced by Latham President and CEO Anne McManus. “This incredible donation was pledged by committed friends who support Latham Centers because of the substantial impact we have on the individuals we serve and their families,” Anne noted. “It means so much to all of us at Latham to know that our work has resonated so deeply with them. Their hope is that this challenge pledge will inspire others in the community to give.”
Anne also announced the generous gift of a $50,000 grant from The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. The grant will fund a vocational classroom at the new Latham Community Center and a new fiscal literacy curriculum designed for individuals with special needs. Lisa Oliver, President and CEO of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, told press conference attendees, “We are thrilled to fund the vocational training center at the new Latham Community Center. On the pathway to helping students to gain independence, giving them the tools they need for success is essential.” Watch an excerpt of her presentation HERE.
Latham’s Community partners including Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club; Rogers and Gray Insurance; Cape Associates; Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank Charitable Foundation Trust; and Rockland Federal Credit Union were thanked by Anne for their donations and support of our Expanding Our Circle Capital Campaign. Director of Development Heather Kelsey also thanked the many donors who have joined us in the effort to renovate the long-vacant building into a beautiful, multi-purpose Center for Latham residents and our greater community.
