Don’t miss this weekend’s Hyannis Film Festival – and “How to Dance in Ohio”

The Hyannis Film Festival is bringing “Movies on Main” to downtown Hyannis this weekend – Friday, October 14th through Sunday, October 16th. There will be a variety of films including many award-winning productions and many with filmmakers in attendance. The weekend kicks off with a remarkable opening night documentary.  The film “How to Dance in Ohio” by Alexandra Shiva will be presented tomorrow (Friday) at 7 p.m.  Young adults with autism “in a life-skills training program celebrate their graduation with a prom. Now the inspiration for a Broadway-bound musical—with producers and performers here to talk about bringing it to the stage.  Screening in association with FORWARD of Cape Cod.”

As noted by ArtsBarnstable.com, the Sunday programs happen in unison with the family-friendly Hyannis Open Streets on Sunday, October 16th. The Hyannis Film Festival is devoted to elevating the arts and culture and economic activity of downtown Hyannis by bringing movies back to Main Street for the first time in over 50 years. The weekend PATRON PASS of $100 lets you come and go when you like, all weekend long, and helps us continue to bring distinguished films to downtown Hyannis and the mid-Cape. Movie details and tickets for individual screenings are available on Eventbrite for $15 each
