Donkeys-For-Good: She Said Yes!
February 20, 2019
To raise awareness about Latham Centers’ Asinotherapy Program, we’ve launched this entertaining and informative blog series featuring our six miniature donkeys: Esther, Esau, Moonbeam, Curley, Angus, and Jake. Be sure to check in regularly to learn about the donkeys and the important role they play at Latham Centers.
We are delighted to announce the engagement of Esther and Esau! On Valentine’s Day, after a seven-year courtship, Esau proposed to Esther and she accepted. They are officially “getting hitched”! Esau had this to say about the proposal:
“I believe that I have mentioned my natural inclination to be cautious (not stubborn). Yes, I am slow and steady, and a fan of careful precision. I knew that I wanted to marry Esther the very moment I saw her silvery coat and her long, sleepy eyelashes. It took me seven years to ask her, but all the studies say that a lengthy courtship often leads to the happiest marriages.”
Esther was quick to add:
“Seven days, or seven years, it never mattered. I would have waited as long as he needed. I am simply over the moon. We are going to plan an incredible party to launch our new married life. I am the luckiest donkey I know.”
Esther and Esau were quick to set a date – wedding venues book quickly on Cape Cod, so mark your calendars because we want you to be a part of their special day on Saturday, May 11, 2019.
