Cape Cod Young Professionals (CCYP) brought back their Annual Shape Your Cape Summit virtually! This year’s Summit took place on April 7th and 8th and focused on the theme of RESILIENCE and how it applies on a personal, professional, community, and regional level as the Cape re-emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic. The CCYP website states, “The Summit provides the Cape’s young workforce community with educational and networking opportunities to thrive, personally and professionally, on Cape Cod by convening local employers, community leaders, and concerned citizens who are passionate about advancing local understanding and action around issues that impact opportunity for young working-age adults on Cape Cod.”
Latham Centers’ Brittni Kliment, Director of Program Marketing and Admissions, and Katrina Fryklund, Director of National Outreach, attended with their eye on opportunities for Latham Centers and a growing Cape Cod community. These conversations are essential to Latham, as one of the area’s largest human services employers with more than 260 staff members who reside from Provincetown to Worcester. Reflecting on the Summit, Katrina noted, “We asked what we can do as a community to encourage growth within and create opportunities for our staff. An over-arching message was ‘Building something different, creating a plan for CCYP in 2021.’”
We are grateful for the opportunity to raise awareness about Latham as one of the Summit’s non-profit sponsors. Our message of resilience was shared in the event slideshow (pictured below): “A resilient Cape community cares for children and adults with special needs.” We look forward to our continued alliance with CCYP, and we appreciate the amazing work CCYP does for our entire community.
