Cooke’s Seafood, Hyannis Supports Latham Centers during the Season of Giving

Just one week from today, on November 23rd, 2016, Cooke’s Seafood in Hyannis will donate 20% of sales to support the student and adult residents at Latham Centers. Cooke’s Seafood and Latham Centers are taking on this endeavor as their first community partnership.

Cooke’s is open from 11:30 through 8pm, and is located at 1120 Route 132. To contact Cooke’s about the hours, call (508) 775-0450. Don’t forget to stop in with your friends and family to get a taste of Cape Cod dining ranging from fried clam rolls to a smoked turkey sandwich.

During the holiday season, Latham’s greatest needs are fitness programs and equipment to be used throughout the winter months, art and theater programs to express creativity and learn social skills, and the Angel Fund gift drive to allow all students the ability to appreciate the holidays. During this time of giving, Latham Centers thanks Cooke’s Seafood, Hyannis, for their generosity.

Cooke’s Seafood in Hyannis is now owned and operated by the family that started the restaurant in 1977.  Founded by two brothers, Jim and Connie Haidas (whose parents started the Kream ‘N Kone in 1953), Cooke’s Seafood was created to serve the highest quality, freshest seafood available in a clean and comfortable setting. 

The next generation of Haidas brothers, Van and Michael, continue their family’s tradition.  In working directly with their parents, the Haidas brothers learned the value of hard work and the importance of maintaining the highest standards. Van and Michael used these important lessons when establishing a restaurant of their own in 2014 — the knack on Route 6A in Orleans. 

While the essence of Cooke’s remains the same, the Haidas brothers have focused on elevating the quality of the sandwiches, side dishes, salads, and ice cream to match the quality of their fresh seafood dishes.
