Congratulations to the finalists of the Latham Open tennis tournament
August 26, 2022
The 4th annual Latham Open was a great success and wrapped up Sunday, August 14th under blue-bird skies and drier, cooler air. A perfect day for tennis!

This year, Latham Centers students who are part of the Latham tennis clinic also joined in by volunteering at the event – greeting players, answering questions, and passing out t-shirts.
High school student Rufus McCleery and his friend Oliver Prantis have been planning and executing the USTA-sanctioned tournament for the benefit of Latham Centers for the last 4 years. They started the tournament to ‘give back’ to Latham because Rufus’ little brother is a student at the school and ‘has done so much for him’. Also joining Rufus was his father Matt, a Latham board member, his mother Buffy, who designed the Latham Open t-shirts, and brother Homer, a Latham student.
We are so proud of our student volunteers and so fortunate to have Rufus, Oliver, and the whole McCleery family on our team!
