Charity Golf Classic raises over $80,000

The 8th Annual Latham Charity Golf Classic held at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club last month raised over $80,000 to support vital Latham programs and the future Latham Centers campus expansion. The October 16th tournament, in memory of Bob Bernstein and in honor of Jack and Jo-Ann Kelly, was sold-out and beautifully run. The event included 18 holes of golf and a dinner reception, silent and live auction, and raffle prizes. A moving tribute to the late Bob Bernstein, Latham parent and founding member of the Golf Classic Steering Committee, was presented by friends and family. The evening program also included the presentation of a tribute gift to event honorees Jack and Jo-Ann Kelly, parents of Drew who is a Latham School graduate and current resident in our Adult Services Program. Jack and Jo-Ann have provided years of support and service to Latham Centers.

Today’s blog is dedicated to expressing our thanks to the entire Latham community who helped make the Golf Classic so successful. Latham Centers would like to acknowledge the generosity and support of our tournament sponsors listed in the Sponsorship Pages below, as well as our sincere appreciation for the time and generosity of Brad Malo, our Tournament Chairperson; Planning Committee members Christine Gillstrom, Jeff Cotto, Stephen Drowne, Dan Chamberlain, Jack Kelly, and Amanda Bebrin; as well as our Board of Directors, event donors, volunteers, and staff.

Tomorrow’s blog will feature a photo collage of the 2017 Latham Centers Charity Golf Classic highlights.
