Board Member Chris Gillstrom-Burgess and Husband Mark Burgess Win Big for Latham Centers

Ms. Chris Gillstrom-Burgess and Mr. Mark Burgess, husband and wife team and Latham Centers supporters, were honored for their incredible fundraising for the 2017 Last Gasp. In this beautiful “Night of Gratitude,” hosted by Cape Cod Charitable FunRaisers (CCCF) at the Riverway Lobster House, the Top Ten “Big Wheels” were called to the front and a round of applause was had for each.

Mark Burgess was the eighth “Big Wheel” out of approximately 300 riders and raised over $3,000. Mark has been participating for around 20 years and was excited to support Latham Centers in the 2017 ride.

Chris Gillstrom-Burgess has quickly become a hugely important player on the Latham Board of Directors. In this race alone she raised over $5,000 by reaching out to friends and family, making her the third highest fundraiser, or third “Big Wheel.” Additionally, she received “The ChrisNick Award” for the 2017 Last Gasp Rookie of the Year.

Thank you to Chris and Mark for all of their incredible participation and fundraising, and also to those who supported Chris and Mark. All monies raised from the Last Gasp and Cape Cod Charitable FunRaisers supports the future Latham Centers Community Center Capital Campaign.
