A Beautiful Day, a Beautiful Tournament

On Monday the 17^th, on a beautiful day in October, 150 golfers, donors, sponsors and Board Members came together at the 7^th Annual Latham Centers Charity Golf Classic. The Golf Classic is Latham Centers’ largest annual fundraiser where golfers play 18 holes and return to the Linx Pavilion, where they are presented with a silent and live auction and banquet style dinner catered by Ocean Edge.

Our sponsors are hugely responsible for the success of the tournament, with the largest supporters including Foremost Footware, Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club, Coastal Engineering, Cape Associates, USI Insurance, Nauset Marine, Secure Networks, TD Bank, Salland Industries, Orleans Toyota, OMR Architects, WB Mason, Leonard, Mulherin, and Greene, P.C, Jackson Lewis, and EMC Insurance.

All funds raised from this event support the children and adults with complex special needs who call Latham Centers home. Specific initiatives include life-changing athletic, art and therapy programs, as well as the new Latham Centers Community Center building project.

This year, a particularly special moment included an adult resident, Drew, receiving an award for the Closest to Pin for Men. His father, a Latham Centers Board Member, was on scene to witness this great moment, as well as his peers and other attending family members.

We are so proud of our residents, like Drew, for participating. We are also grateful to all of our in-kind donors and sponsors who donate to this event every year, and the volunteers who make this event possible.
