Adult Services’ Mariel Chance will bike in the Sandwich-to-Provincetown Last Gasp for Latham

Mariel Chance, Case Manager in our Adult Services program, is training and fundraising for Cape Cod Charitable FunRaisers’ 26th annual Last Gasp bicycle race. The 62-mile race from Sandwich to Provincetown takes place on Sunday, September 17th. It is Mariel’s second year riding as a member of the Latham team.

Latham Centers is one of eight beneficiary organizations for this year’s Last Gasp, and 100% of funds raised by Latham riders will go to our programs. Mariel encourages others to join her. “It doesn’t matter what type of rider you are, everyone is welcome, and everyone is encouraged to ride — all skill levels! It’s a very enjoyable ride, and the boat ride afterward is fun, too,” she said. Even as a first-time participant last year, Mariel placed 3rd for women.

There are many ways to support the event:

Register to ride and select Latham Centers as the beneficiary of your choice; sponsor Mariel or another Latham rider; volunteer to help at the event; or register for the post-race lobster boil and awards ceremony (in addition to the clambake, you’ll receive a Last Gasp t-shirt).

Online registration and event details are available HERE.
