A tribute to our Direct Support Professionals
September 10, 2019
This week – September 8-14, 2019 – is Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week! Once again, Governor Baker has proclaimed the second week of September DSP Recognition Week in Massachusetts. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey have also signed onto the Senate Resolution to declare this DSP Recognition Week.
We join our colleagues throughout the state in recognizing and celebrating our Direct Support Professionals:
Latham Centers would like to express our sincere appreciation to every member of our direct care staff – your work supporting children and adults with complex special needs is exceptional, and you make a significant difference in the lives of so many. We’re grateful for this opportunity to let our professional support staff team know that we recognize the importance Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) have in the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. We salute the wonderful work you do! It is because of you that those we serve are valued and respected, and living and thriving in their communities.
We’re happy to share this heartwarming video from Open Future Learning in honor of our valued DSPs.
