From the Governor to Latham (and all who serve our disability community)

Latham Centers recently heard from Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and First Lady Lauren Baker, and their words were a tremendous boost to our staff!

In their recorded message shared at our virtual Staff Appreciation celebration last month, the Governor stated:

“I know what an amazingly difficult year this has been for everybody… and I’m sure it was a challenging year for all of you – probably the most challenging ever.  And I just want to say, on behalf of the people of Massachusetts, how proud we are of the way you stepped up and dealt with all of the difficulties that came with COVID, and continue to do a wonderful job on behalf of the people you serve… Thank you for all you have done, and you continue to be a very special part of the constellation of wonderful organizations that do such great work for kids and for people with disabilities here in Massachusetts. Thank you.”  — Governor Charlie Baker

We hope you’ll take two minutes to listen to their words of thanks and encouragement – not only to the heroes at Latham, but also to the dedicated professionals throughout Massachusetts who serve individuals with disabilities:  https://youtu.be/j6-gf8ujbxI
