Tip of the Week: New school year

At this stage of the school year, you should have a good idea of who your child’s team members are. The first month or two of a new school year will give you an indication of how each team members approached your child’s care. If there are any concerns, it’s important for you to address these immediately instead of waiting to see if they will resolve on their own. Emerging issues are best dealt with right away as to stop any patterns or bad experiences that your child encounters, which often lead to school refusal or challenging behaviors.
