TIP of the WEEK: PWS Month: Week Two

Latham Centers

We all know that people with PWS have challenges- challenges with school, social interactions, emotion regulation, medical complications and the list goes on. But during week two of PWS Awareness Month I want us to remember the good stuff, the stuff that can get lost in that list of struggles.

People with PWS are some of the best people that I have ever met. Really. They are compassionate and thoughtful. Endlessly positive, and show courage and perseverance that I cannot fathom on my best day. I consistently get back more than I give even on those days that I can’t imagine giving any more. I am better for knowing them and thankful for every child and adult that have allowed me to be a part of their lives.
Week two of PWS awareness month brings me hope, pride, and gratitude for being a part of this remarkable community.
