Tip of the week: Getting Organized
August 23, 2019
Getting into the habit of documenting meetings, phone calls, and conversations with school personnel throughout the year can be a huge asset later if you are looking for additional services for your child. It will likely be up to you alone to fight for what your child needs and relying on your memory of events will not be sufficient. Set up a binder exclusively for school documents and track your child’s progress to be sure that it matches his or her educational goals each quarter. Being organized and prepared is the first step to advocating for your child’s needs.
