Student Spotlight: New student shares highlights of life at Latham

Latham Centers happily welcomes another new student, Ryan, to our campus. For today’s Student Spotlight, Admissions Officer Kara McDowell interviewed Ryan:

What is your favorite thing about Latham so far?

The outings.

What outings have you gone on so far?

We went to the movies last week.

What movie did you see?

Wonder Park. It was good. You should go see it tonight.

What fun activities at Latham do you enjoy so far?

The St. Patrick’s Day Dance

That sounds like fun! What did you do there?

There was music and we danced. All my friends went.

What advice would you give someone who was thinking of coming to Latham?

We have Special Olympics here so you might want to come and play.

What advice would you give to family members who were thinking about sending their student/child to Latham?

You should come here because they have a lot of staff that can help with our needs.

What’s your favorite subject in school?

I don’t know but I really like performing arts. Miss Sarah Jane is nice and she plays music. She’s funny.

What are some goals you have here?

I want to keep having fun.

Is there anything else you want to tell me about Latham?

We had a special meal last month. We had a pot pie thing with BBQ pulled pork and mashed potatoes. We also got to have a chocolate dessert.
