Congratulations to our friends, the Brewster Whitecaps!

The students and staff at Latham Centers join the greater Brewster community in congratulating the Whitecaps, this year’s Cape Cod Baseball League champions!

We have enjoyed watching the Brewster Whitecaps play this summer, most notably during a student outing to a recent Saturday evening game at the home field.  Behavior specialist Neomie Laughren said taking more than 20 Latham students to the Whitecaps game was amazing because it was such a collaborative outing.  The staff and students arrived early, enjoying a picnic dinner packed by our school kitchen staff and watching the early part of the baseball game.  Neomie said “it was one of our biggest outings, and everyone was having a blast. The students enjoyed being out in the community, and especially being with their local baseball heroes.” 

Brewster Whitecaps, thank you for a great season!  Latham Centers shares the sentiments of the Brewster Chamber of Commerce: “Their teamwork, resilience, and mutual encouragement are an example for us all.”
