Chef Luciano Canova hosts benefit dinner to raise funds for Latham Community Center

Chef Luciano Canova, owner of Luciano’s Restaurant in Wrentham, Mass., hosted an incredible benefit dinner earlier this month to raise funds for Latham Centers’ capital campaign for the new Latham Community Center. On Thursday, May 10th, over 80 friends, family, and colleagues of Chef Luciano were treated to an exceptional meal featuring assorted cheeses, cured meats, meatballs, and lamb chops, followed by prime rib, baked stuffed shrimp, and pasta, as well as hand-made Italian cookies and pastries. Former New England Patriots guard Joe Andruzzi attended the dinner and brought four Super Bowl rings with him – thrilling guests with the opportunity to be photographed wearing them. The event raised more than $20,000.

Chef Canova’s daughter Tina is a graduate of Latham School and a current resident in Latham Centers’ Adult Services Program. The event was the third benefit dinner that Luciano has hosted in support of our Expanding our Circle Capital Campaign for the new Latham Community Center. In 2016, Tina’s brother Tony Canova and his wife Kim hosted an event at The Colonel Blackinton Inn in Attleboro. To date, the Canova family has raised over $60,000 for Latham Centers’ capital campaign.

We are deeply grateful to Luciano Canova and his friends and family for their generosity. Luciano’s Restaurant is located at 800 Washington Street, Wrentham – about a half mile from Gillette Stadium and Patriot Place in Foxboro.
