4th Annual Latham Open charity tournament planned for August 12th – 14th

We are happy to announce that the 4th annual Latham Open charity singles tennis tournament will be held at the Harwich Community Tennis Courts at Brooks Park on August 12th – 14th, 2022. The USTA-sanctioned tournament, a fundraiser to benefit Latham School, was started in 2019 by high school students Rufus McCleery and Oliver Prantis.

Rufus, who will be running the tournament this year, said he is proud to be able to help Latham. Rufus is the brother of a Latham student, and he has volunteered at numerous Latham Centers activities. Also involved in the tournament are Rufus’ parents, Matt McCleery, a Latham Board member, and Buffy McCleery, who does all the tournament’s artwork.

This year, Latham students will be joining the Latham Open as volunteers – part of a tennis clinic program through the school.

In past years, the Latham Open has welcomed players from across Cape Cod including several European players vacationing on the Cape. It has been a chance for people to meet, play some great tennis, and support a wonderful cause!

Latham Centers is very grateful to the McCleery family for their generosity! (Pictured are photos from past Latham Open tournaments.)

Please join us at Brooks Park!
